Michael S. Goldstein, CHA
President, CEO
Michael Goldstein has over 25 years experience managing income property including; hotels, resorts, restaurants, multi family residence, senior assisted-living and commercial properties. He has extensive experience in hotel development including; new construction and renovations, franchise negotiations, brokerage and has been the principal task force member for the repositioning or workout of distressed properties for institutional lenders and numerous receivership assets. His diverse management background includes; Del Webb, Radisson, Sheraton, Candlewood, IHG, Choice and Cendant.

Michael is responsible for Packard’s business development, real estate and consulting services and is involved with the daily management activities of all properties.

Michael is a graduate of La Salle University with a Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He is a member of American Hotel and Lodging Association, California Hotel Association and a licensed real estate agent in the state of California.

 

Carrin L. Goldstein, CCAM, CMCA, AMS
Executive Vice Presiden

Carrin has over fifteen years experience in portfolio management with commercial and residential properties. She began her career in multi family mid and high rise projects in Los Angeles, and expanded into commercial and mixed use projects for a San Diego based property management company until acquiring Packard 1998.

Carrin’s primary role is to oversee the HOA division working closely with her staff to ensure consistent levels of service. In addition to her corporate duties as supervisor and director of HOA operating and marketing efforts, she continues to manage a small portfolio of properties keeping a pulse on the industry.

Carrin is a licensed California Real Estate broker, a Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM), a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) and an Association Management Specialist (AMS). She is a member of The California Association of Community Managers and the Community Association’s Institute.

 

Kevin Lamb, Esq.    
General Counsel

Kevin is Packard's general counsel. His primary role is the crafting of PRI’s proprietary forms and participating in complex acquisition, dispositions and work-outs. Kevin provides PRI with added depth utilizing expert legal advice and analysis in connection with PRI’s representation of its clients. Kevin specializes in all aspects of real estate law with an emphasis on the hotel and tourist related industries.

In addition to his role at PRI, Kevin is the senior partner in Lamb and Kawakami, a successful boutique transactional and business litigation firm in Downtown Los Angeles. Kevin continues his representation of hotel owners, developers and financial institutions, including development, franchise negotiation, financing, operations and dispositions.

Kevin received both his J.D., cum laude, and his B.A., with honors from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

 

Steven L. Carr    
Chief Financial Officer

Steven has worked within the Hotel Industry for over 30 years. He served as a Corporate Controller in the Construction and Timeshare Industries, and as on-site Controller for full service hotels.. His area of responsibilities includes Human Resources, Cash Management, Due Diligence, Financial Projections, Forecasts and Construction Management

Steven’s primary roll is to oversee the Financial Management and Accounting for Hotels, Homeowners Associations, and Construction Projects.

Steven is a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Finance, and an MBA from National University. He is also a California General Contractor and past President of the Hospitality Financial and Technical Professionals, San Diego Chapter.


Kerry Beatty, AMS
VP of Operations - PMG
Kerry has over twelve years experience in all phases of common interest developments. In 2005, after consulting for the San Diego division of a large national homebuilder, Kerry established the DRE and HOA Services Department for the builder, which worked with all new communities, including mixed use projects in the urban environment. The Department oversaw the formation of the communities and comprehensive review of legal documents and budgets and interfaced with all communities, current and transitioning, as well as prior established developments. She has acquired particular expertise in common area turnover and transition and Fire Protection and Life and Safety Issues.

Kerry is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Association Management Division, business development and for set up and transitioning of all new communities.

Kerry has been a featured speaker for the California Association of Community Managers (CACM) and the Community Associations Institute (CAI) and has held the CCAM and AMS designations from both organizations respectively.

 

Mark Thomson
Regional Vice-President - PHG
Mark has over 30 years of hospitality management experience.  Serving as an Area Vice President for Hilton Hotels, he oversaw the northeast area for Embassy Suites.  He also has extensive experience as the General Manager of the flagship properties in New York City for Embassy Suites Hotels and Doubletree Hotels.  He was responsible for the reopening and repositioning of the Embassy Suites Hotel in Downtown Manhattan after the tragedy of September 11th. 

With primary responsibilities for the Eastern Division, Mark’s role is to oversee all aspects of hotel operations including; operating systems and procedures, human resources, revenue management, profit and loss, safety and security, staff development, brand and corporate standards, facility maintenance, telecommunications and technology.

Mark is a second generation hotelier.  Mark attended University of Colorado and holds several certifications relating to the hospitality industry.

 

Lacey C. Lamm, CHA
Regional Vice President - PHG
Lacey has eight years of experience in the hospitality industry, and has worked in a broad range of corporate and independently owned properties. Lacey’s portfolio experience includes limited service, full service and extended stay hotels. Lacey is responsible for maintaining brand standards, operating systems and procedures, quality assurance and guest satisfaction programs for all managed hotels. Lacey is currently serving on the Tulsa Hotel and Lodging Association’s board of directors. She is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in aviation.

 

MaryAnne Wilson
Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing
MaryAnne’s primary role is to increase RevPAR and market indexes by supporting the hotel sales efforts. With over fourteen years of executive level hotel experience, she has a proven track record in attaining positive RevPar performance, exceeding budgeted revenue, and ensuring growth in market share.  MaryAnne also oversees new account development, evaluation and improvement of internal sales and marketing operations as well as motivating and training staff. MaryAnne is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management.  She serves on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles chapter of Meeting Professional International (SCCMPI) and is an active member of the California chapter of the American Society of Association Executives (Cal SAE), NBTA, TIA, and SYTA.

 

Adrian Valencia
Project Manager
Adrian has over 18 years of broad-based experience as an operator, project manager and facilities manager within the hotel industry and UCLA residential housing.  Using his experience as a Vice President of Operations with Packard, Adrian’s current role is oversight of all PHG renovation projects including; design approval, budgeting, on-site supervision, and brand compliance.

His hands-on management style offers consistent support and guidance to Packard’s hotel managers.  Adrian graduated from the University of New Mexico, is a member of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, and is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Long Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.

 

Ruby Gurrola
Corporate Human Resources Director
As the Corporate Human Resources Director, Ruby plays a key role in integrating new human resources initiatives in alignment with the strategic goals of the company. With her leadership she provides invaluable services to both the company and its associates for implementation of effective training and development, efficient processes, and monitoring legal compliance.

Ruby has more than six years of human resources and managerial experience in the retail and post-secondary education fields. Ruby has her BA in International Business from San Diego State University and her MBA with an emphasis in Human Resources from National University.

 

 

Stacia DeMos
Corporate Controller
Stacia has more than 10 years of managerial and directorial experience in finance and business operations. She has excellent leadership and team building skills as well as a proven track record in effective performance management to increase surplus and manage expenses. Stacia has a BA in Business Management, is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and has extensive experience with internal controls and GAAP compliance.
